Frequently Asked Questions

What's the ride like?

The horseback ride is roughly 1.5 hours long and takes place on our farm through hundreds of acres of rolling hills where our Cattle live. We take a maximum of 6 riders per tour to ensure a personalized experience. We do our best to find the cattle wherever they're hanging out that day to give you an up-close and personal experience seeing Cattle (some of which are Scottish Highlands) from horseback!

Will the ride be nose-to-tail, or can we ride freely?

Our rides are not limited to a nose-to-tail format. When conditions allow and riders are comfortable, we provide opportunities to ride more freely and experience different speeds, including trotting and loping. Your guide will ensure everything is done safely and matched to your comfort and skill level.

What if I'm a beginner rider or an expert rider?

Riders of all experience levels are welcome. From beginners to experts, we have horses suited for everyone. Our experienced guides will help you feel comfortable and confident no matter your skill level. Riders must be 9 years or older and in good physical condition.

What should I wear on the ride?

Long pants and closed-toed shoes are a must! A hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen are recommended on our hotter days.

Do you take drop ins?

Reservations are required, and rides must be booked in advance. You must have an appointment in order to visit the farm.

What is the weight limit?

For the safety and well-being of both our horses and our guests, we do have a weight limit of 250 pounds for our rides. This ensures that our horses are comfortable and healthy while carrying riders, and that each guest can enjoy their experience to the fullest!
